Print Ads

This is an ad for Bye motorcycle helmets. Covering something with one’s hands is an instinctive protection response to keep something safe and away from harm. I liked this ad because it is very strange and it is very creative to put those two thoughts together.
This is an ad for the Zune. It is a very colorful ad and hidden in the colors are people doing various activities that could be done with the Zune. I like this ad becuase it is fun and it makes me want to buy a Zune.

This ad is for Dark Chocolate M&M's. It is showing how dark chocolate is fun. I liked this ad because it gets the message across by having the M&M guy playing hop scotch in the "Scream" painting.

Logos

Ferrari Logo

This is the Jonas Brothers logo. In the middle of it it has their initials (JB) connected to form one symbol. I like this logo because it seems kingly. And it is fun at the same time.

This is the logo for Puma. I like this logo because it shows motion in the puma jumping and it leads you through the logo. It is a smooth fluent logo.

CD Sleeve

As you can see this is Francesca Battistelli. I had never heard of her before, but I was in a store and I saw her CD and I really liked the cover and how it was designed so I bought it. The cover of this CD was what got my attention to buy it. When I opened it, the inside was cut into hearts because the name of the CD is "My Paper Heart". I thought that was very creative.

Book Jacket

This is the book jacket for Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyers. The design is based on power pallet using only black, white, and red. I like the depth that is made by using scale shift between the two chess pieces.

Magazine Cover

This is the April 2008 edition of Esquire Magazine. I like this magazine cover because of its background. The way the background is bent to make it look like George Clooney is leaning against it. Even though there is alot of words going on in the background, having the words bent like they are makes George Clooney stand out and not get lost in the sea of words.

Websites

http://www.foxie.ru/
The way this website looked caught my eye. I found it on colourlovers.com. I went to it and clicked around and it was easy to navigate through. The setup is creative. I like how the links are shown as books on the shelf.

http://www.everythingjonas.com/

I am a fan of the Jonas Brothers and I found this fansite and the thing I like most about the site is the picture and how the designer set it up on the site.

http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/

Stephenie Meyer is one of my favorite authors and this is her website. I like the colors she chose for it and the background on the top of the screen. The way it is set up is simple and that makes it easy to get from one link to the other.

http://www.thisdayandagemusic.com/

This Day and Age is one of my favorite bands. When you enter the site it goes through some motion graphics then enters the site.

http://www.therocketsummer.com/

The Rocket Summer is a one man band. The man behind the music is Bryce Avary. This is his website and I like the feel of it. How it is made as a collage. The colors of the site work well with each other. It is also easy to navigate through.

Symbol Designs

This is a sign in Denmark to warn women in heels of the inherent dangers of cobblestone.

This is a sign in Europe warning people that the electric current will be harmful.
